Let There Be (New) Light

Behold, the Elena Chandelier from Pottery Barn.
"Strands of natural wooden beads take the place of crystal droplets...a striking departure from tradition."

The tole and crystal chandelier in our dining room is lovely, but I've been wanting a departure from the crystals and uber feminine look for a while.

Something less frilly, yet still traditional with a twist.

So when I first saw this chandelier, I was smitten.
The wooden beads and bronze metal stamped with a botanical detail just spoke to me.

Here is how it looked last night after it was installed...

...and this morning.
I love the new look!
Now, I have to install the new (old) draperies that I'm recycling from the living room to complete the new, lighter look.  Stay tuned....

Your new chandy is stunning!! Very unusual, out of the traditional and it looks great on your dining ceiling. We also changed our Italian ALL brass handles we had for so many years for an antique traditional, that hubby gave me for mother's day for an ALL CRYSTAL Italian 12 light chandy from the 1920's, I totally love it, lol..we love change that makes us happy, don't we?!

Hmmm I have that same chandelier without the beads. I did a post on my foyer and it's right there, staring me in the face. Wondering if I can possibly add beads to it?
Anyone have suggestions?

Is the tole and crystal chandelier for sale? You would have many takers including myself. I think it's fabulous but... change is nice.
